It was meant to be a fun night out in Paris, but my life was turned upside down. The last thing I remembered was sitting on the chaise lounge in the ladies’ room of Étoile, an upscale nightclub by the Seine. I suddenly felt short of breath and was hit by a sudden bout of dizziness. I believed I must have had too much to drink and decided to lie down and rest for a couple of minutes. When I opened my eyes again, I was nowhere near Paris.
That night has replayed in my head countless times
I should’ve stayed close to my friends.
I shouldn’t have drunk anything at the club.
I should’ve just stayed at the hotel.
I wish I hadn’t gone to Paris.
I wish it were a nightmare.

Book 2
concludes the story.
Suddenly…
A loud crashing sound…
A violent impact…
Thomas reaches over, trying to shield Iris and their unborn child.
Iris’ body is flung to the left towards Thomas, but a sudden tight hug from the seatbelt holds her in place.
A deafening bang bursts right in front of them, a blow punching their faces and chests.
They smell smoke and feel dizzy.
They are surrounded by airbags.
They heard many different voices around them.
“Thomas?” Iris tries to turn towards him, but she cannot. She cannot turn her head, and her eyes become blurry…
